The IU Health Foundation is the philanthropic engine behind IU Health’s mission to change lives every day. The Event Manager, Philanthropy leads the Foundation’s full event portfolio. Designing cultivation events and engagement experiences that align with philanthropic priorities, strengthen donor relationships and advance fundraising outcomes. This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle of 30 to 40 donor-facing events annually, managing logistics, production, vendor partnerships, attendee communications and onsite operations while collaborating with Foundation leadership, Gift Officers and cross-functional partners to deliver meaningful, mission-aligned experiences.

The Scope:

This role serves as the Foundation’s primary event strategist and executor, responsible for:

  • Leading strategy, planning and end-to-end execution of all IU Health Foundation events, including campaign events, clinic dedications, stewardship gatherings, cultivation experiences and the monthly Hoosier Health Series
  • Developing event briefs, budgets and cost estimates, and managing invoice processing and financial reconciliation
  • Coordinating all event logistics including catering, venue planning, speaker support, name tag production, attendee communications, invitation distribution and RSVP tracking
  • Producing run-of-show documents, branded collateral and supporting materials for each event
  • Managing vendor partnerships and ensuring quality execution across all event touchpoints
  • Coordinating space planning, onsite staffing and volunteer engagement
  • Serving as a visible and welcoming presence at events, representing the Foundation to donors, prospects and IU Health system leadership
  • Tracking donor return on investment metrics and event performance data, and offering recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Partnering with Foundation leadership, Gift Officers, the Communications team and the growth team to align event programming with fundraising objectives and organizational goals

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for this position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires working knowledge of fundraising software (i.e. Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
  • Requires proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment is preferred.
