About the job

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Director, HCP Marketing based in the United States.

This is an opportunity to shape healthcare professional (HCP) marketing strategy and drive high-impact launch execution within an innovative, fully remote biopharmaceutical environment. You will translate brand strategy into compelling campaigns, customer-facing resources, and omnichannel engagement initiatives that build awareness and support product adoption. Working closely with Sales, Sales Training, agencies, and cross-functional partners, you will connect customer insights and market data to actionable commercial strategies. You will play a key role in launch planning, brand positioning, field activation, and promotional execution while ensuring alignment with clinical evidence and regulatory requirements. The position combines strategic ownership with hands-on delivery, budget management, and agency leadership. It is ideal for an experienced pharmaceutical marketer who thrives in entrepreneurial settings, navigates ambiguity with confidence, and is motivated to make a meaningful impact in cardiovascular and chronic care markets.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the development of promotional materials, sales resources, training content, meeting materials, and customer-facing programs that align with brand strategy and meet clinical, regulatory, and compliance standards.

  • Partner with Sales and Sales Training teams to identify field needs, support field meetings and plan-of-action (POA) execution, and continuously improve the effectiveness and use of customer-facing resources.

  • Oversee HCP field activation initiatives, including field communications, resource inventory, sample strategy, and local congress and display activities, ensuring alignment with launch priorities and brand objectives.

  • Manage assigned HCP marketing budgets, expenses, forecasts, and resource allocation, including product samples, to maximize business impact and return on investment.

  • Lead day-to-day agency relationships, providing strategic direction and ensuring projects are delivered with high quality, on time, and within budget.

  • Own key elements of annual brand planning, launch planning, and tactical execution, including product positioning, messaging, customer segmentation, targeting, channel strategy, and performance objectives.

  • Translate market research, advisory boards, congress planning, speaker programs, and customer engagement initiatives into clear strategic recommendations and actionable brand plans.

  • Serve as an HCP marketing subject matter expert, maintaining a strong understanding of the therapeutic area, healthcare landscape, treatment options, customer segments, and competitive environment.

  • Collaborate across functions to align marketing priorities, influence stakeholders, and ensure consistent execution of commercial initiatives.

  • Monitor marketing performance and use data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to refine strategies, optimize engagement, and improve business outcomes.

  • Uphold high standards of ethical and compliant marketing while balancing innovation, customer needs, and commercial objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.

  • At least seven years of relevant professional experience, including knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

  • At least five years of pharmaceutical marketing experience; additional experience in Sales, Sales Training, agency roles, or related functions is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex marketing projects and workstreams, from strategic planning through creative development and tactical execution.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Proven ability to develop innovative marketing approaches, take initiative, influence cross-functional partners, and manage multiple agencies and external stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including experience managing budgets and translating market research, performance data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence into strategic recommendations.

  • Previous experience supporting a product launch and/or marketing chronic care products is strongly preferred.

  • Cardiovascular therapeutic area experience is particularly valuable.

  • Strong strategic thinking, business judgment, and ownership, with the ability to manage product lifecycle activities and drive commercial excellence.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • A customer-focused, data-driven approach to decision-making, combined with a commitment to ethical marketing and regulatory compliance.

  • Adaptability, initiative, and the ability to establish structure and momentum in an entrepreneurial environment.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $175,000–$195,000.

  • Fully remote work environment within the United States.

  • Opportunity to lead HCP marketing initiatives and contribute to product launch and brand development.

  • Cross-functional collaboration with commercial, sales, training, and external agency partners.

  • Opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial biopharmaceutical setting focused on addressing significant unmet medical needs.
