Job Description
Social Creative & Production Manager
As the Social Creative Manager at Zendesk, you'll help define what great social-first creative looks like for a global technology brand.
We're looking for a creative thinker and hands-on maker who knows how to turn big ideas, complex technology, and timely conversations into content people actually want to engage with. From scroll-stopping videos and bold visual concepts to clever social campaigns and executive content, you'll bring fresh creative thinking to how Zendesk shows up across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
You will turn company priorities, customer stories, product news, thought leadership content, and industry conversations into sharp, platform-native content that earns attention and builds credibility with AI decision-makers and other audiences. You will work closely with brand, product marketing, sales, and PR teams to ensure a consistent, compelling, and integrated brand voice across all social touchpoints, driving measurable impact on our B2B growth objectives. You are a creative, resourceful maker with strong editorial judgment, hands-on production skills, and the instincts to recognize when a moment is worth responding to.
AI fluency is important, too. We're looking for someone who is excited to experiment with emerging creative tools to make production smarter and unlock new possibilities, without sacrificing originality, authenticity, or editorial judgment.
About the Team
This role is part of Zendesk’s brand and content organization and works in close partnership with brand, editorial, product marketing, customer marketing, field marketing, PR and executive communications. The team combines creativity, audience insight, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen Zendesk’s public presence and support business priorities. - Develop compelling concepts for product launches, brand campaigns, customer stories, industry conversations, and other priority moments.
- Design and produce social-first graphics, carousels, animations, short-form videos, and other visual content from concept through final delivery.
- Write and collaborate on engaging social copy, hooks, scripts, captions, and creative treatments that complement visual storytelling.
- Transform complex topics like AI, automation, and service into accessible, engaging, and visually compelling content.
- Adapt larger brand campaigns into creative that feels native to each social platform rather than simply resizing existing assets.
- Partner with internal designers, video producers, and external creative resources on more complex production needs.
Social-First Storytelling & Innovation
- Bring a strong understanding of social culture, platform trends, emerging formats, and audience behavior to the creative process.
- Proactively pitch fresh, unexpected ideas that help Zendesk stand out from traditional B2B technology brands.
- Identify opportunities for timely, relevant, and culturally aware creative that connects Zendesk to broader industry conversations.
- Experiment with new formats, visual approaches, and storytelling techniques to continuously evolve our social presence.
- Explore and apply AI-powered creative tools across design, video, ideation, and production while maintaining strong creative judgment and quality standards.
Executive & Thought Leadership Social Content
- Develop creative concepts and assets supporting Zendesk's executive social presence.
- Translate executive perspectives, industry insights, and thought leadership into compelling visual and multimedia content.
- Support executive video content, including creative concepts, scripts, editing, and repurposing longer-form conversations into engaging social clips.
Creative Collaboration & Execution
- Collaborate with the Senior Social Media & Influencer Manager to translate social strategy and business priorities into creative concepts and deliverables.
- Partner with Brand, Product Marketing, PR, Communications, and other stakeholders to develop and execute social creative for launches, campaigns, and events.
- Own assigned creative projects from brief through production, feedback, approvals, and final delivery.
- Manage creative timelines and deliverables, balancing planned initiatives with timely content opportunities.
- Work with the broader social team to ensure creative aligns with publishing schedules, platform best practices, and audience needs.
- Use social performance insights, creative testing, and audience feedback to continually refine and improve content.
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of overall marketing, communications, journalism, or content experience, with at least 5 years focused on social media or digital content.
- Proven experience building social content for a B2B, technology, AI,SaaS, or similarly complex brand.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent social writing and hands-on creation of graphics, carousels, and short-form video.
- Strong command of design and video editing tools, such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or equivalent.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, including the ability to adapt voice and format for different executives, audiences, and platforms.
- Experience developing executive social content or thought leadership, with the judgment to make it sound credible and personal.
- A sharp eye for competitive activity and emerging conversations, and the ability to turn relevant moments into timely content.
- Strong creative judgment and a practical, resourceful approach to producing high-quality work on tight timelines.
- Comfort working with senior leaders and cross-functional partners in a fast-moving, matrixed organization.
- Ability to use social analytics and audience feedback to make content more effective.
- AI fluency, including thoughtful use of AI tools across ideation and production, with careful review for accuracy, voice, and quality.
- BA/BS degree required.
What Success Looks Like
- Zendesk's social channels feature more original, distinctive, and platform-native creative.
- Product launches and priority campaigns are supported by compelling social-first concepts rather than repurposed marketing assets.
- The social team can move more quickly from creative idea to finished content without sacrificing quality.
- Executive social content benefits from stronger visual storytelling and engaging multimedia formats.
- New creative formats and approaches are regularly tested, with learnings informing future content.
- Social creative consistently balances originality, audience relevance, and measurable performance.
