Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Proposal Management (Parametric Estimator) to join our team in Canoga Park, CA or Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate in this parametric estimating role will be involved with developing, analyzing, and validating cost models that link technical requirements to cost. They will also ensure compliance with proposal standards and support program and supply chain decision-making.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and validate parametric cost models: Use commercial/government tools (e.g., TruePlanning, SEER) and custom models to correlate operational/technical requirements with cost.

  • Analyze historical and comparative data: Identify trends and establish valid, supportable cost bases for future work.

  • Collaborate across disciplines: Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, and Program teams to ensure estimates meet quality and compliance standards.

  • Develop Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs): Build auditable, repeatable models that predict future work costs (should cost projections etc).

  • Present findings: Communicate estimating data, analyses, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, data science, mathematics, or related field and a minimum 6 years of prior relevant supply chain experience. Graduate Degree in engineering, data science, mathematics, or related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior related supply chain experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related supply chain experience.

**Preferred Additional Skills:**​

  • Proficiency in Excel, data analytics, and parametric modeling tools; experience with large bills of materials

  • Familiarity with government contracting rules (FAR/DFARS) for defense roles

  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation abilities; ability to work with diverse teams and executive leadership

  • Aerospace manufacturing/machining knowledge is a plus (example engines, valves, rings, etc)

  • Background in cost estimation, program management, and cross-functional collaboration

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the State of California is $88,000 - $164,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
