- Partner with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to eliminate recurring defects, reduce downtime, and improve product consistency.
- Develop, document, and standardize processing best practices, setup parameters, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Support new product introductions, mold trials, equipment installations, and process validations by establishing and documenting operating standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, cycle time optimization, material utilization, and cost savings.
- Track and analyze process data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities by identifying process-related risks and recommending corrective actions.
- Apply knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including PLC-controlled equipment, to support equipment repairs, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Promote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Train, mentor, and support Process Technicians, Plastic Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, and production personnel across all shifts.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on plastic blow-molding experience, including significant experience supporting large plastic drum manufacturing operations.
- Technical Certification or Associate Degree in Process Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated success improving process performance, product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, compressors, chillers, and material handling systems.
- Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex process issues while minimizing scrap, downtime, and quality risks.
- Strong understanding of plastic materials, processing characteristics, and drum performance requirements.
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and document technical processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.
