About the job

What if your next role let you shape how one of the world's most iconic cities experiences economic opportunity? JPMorganChase's American Dream Initiative is a bold, market-level commitment to expanding pathways for underserved communities — and San Francisco is one of our flagship markets. This is a chance to sit at the intersection of business strategy, community impact, and cross-enterprise collaboration. You'll work with senior leaders across lines of business and functions to turn ambitious goals into disciplined, measurable progress. If you thrive on bringing order to complexity and making things happen through influence, this role was built for you.

As a Vice President, Finance Business Management in the San Francisco American Dream Initiative team, you will lead the day-to-day execution of our integrated market plan — bringing together cross-line-of-business and cross-functional partners around shared priorities, a unified narrative, and a consistent operating cadence. You will build and manage delivery roadmaps, facilitate governance routines, and ensure disciplined progress against milestones and outcomes. This is an opportunity for you to serve as the connective tissue across workstreams, helping us move faster, decide smarter, and deliver with accountability. You'll partner closely with Communications, Legal, Corporate Responsibility, analytics, and strategy teams to align inputs and execute against commitments. If you enjoy turning complexity into clarity and leading through influence in a matrixed environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and manage delivery roadmaps across San Francisco American Dream Initiative workstreams, including milestones, owners, dependencies, timelines, and success measures
  • Maintain workplans, trackers, decision logs, and escalation paths to keep initiatives moving and unblock decisions
  • Align multiple lines of business and functions around an integrated roadmap with clear decision points and a single set of priorities
  • Coordinate with internal partners such as Communications, Legal, and Corporate Responsibility to align inputs and move approvals forward
  • Facilitate governance routines and operating cadence meetings to ensure consistent accountability and follow-through
  • Create executive-ready presentations, briefing materials, updates, and decision-support outputs that communicate progress, risks, and next steps
  • Partner with analytics, strategy, risk, and control teams to define metrics, track results, and support responsible execution
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues proactively, ensuring timely resolution and transparent communication to stakeholders
  • Assess best practices from other American Dream Initiative markets and tailor proven approaches to the San Francisco context
  • Document and maintain clear accountability structures, action items, and status updates across all active workstreams
  • Support the development of a shared narrative that connects workstream-level progress to the broader market strategy

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 7 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management, including managing multiple concurrent workstreams with clear accountability and timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to produce executive-ready written materials, including presentations and briefing documents
  • Experience facilitating governance routines, decision logs, and risk and issue management processes
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for creating deliverables and managing workplans
  • Ability to lead through influence without direct authority, building alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Exceptional attention to detail in documentation, action tracking, and follow-through
  • Experience synthesizing information from multiple sources into clear, concise communications for senior audiences

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience working within financial services or a large, highly regulated organization
  • Familiarity with community development, corporate responsibility, or social impact initiatives
  • Experience supporting market-level or place-based strategies that require local stakeholder coordination
  • Background in management consulting, strategy, or business operations
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and adapting plans as priorities evolve
  • Experience with data visualization or performance dashboards to track initiative outcomes
  • Knowledge of the San Francisco civic, nonprofit, or economic development landscape
