Please review the following job description:

The Director of Branch Expansion Performance serves as the enterprise lead, strategic advisor, and performance coach for Grow Purple DeNovo branches from pre-opening readiness through their first two years of operation. Working primarily through influence rather than direct reporting authority, this director partners closely with Branch Banking market and region executives and coaches area and branch leaders to translate the Grow Purple strategy into disciplined local execution. The role establishes consistent operating routines, applies data and field insights to identify opportunities and remove barriers, connects leaders with the right enterprise resources, and scales best practices across the DeNovo portfolio. Accountable for strengthening branch capabilities and accelerating client acquisition, deposit growth, relationship deepening, community presence, and teammate readiness, the director helps each new branch progress from successful launch to sustainable market performance while delivering a differentiated client and teammate experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

DeNovo Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

• Own and continuously refine the enterprise strategy, operating model, and execution playbook for Grow Purple DeNovo branches from pre-opening readiness through the first two years of operation.

• Translate enterprise growth priorities into clear milestones, decision points, leader expectations, and market-specific action plans across the DeNovo portfolio.

• Maintain an integrated portfolio view of branch readiness, launch activity, post-opening performance, risks, dependencies, and resource needs.

• Capture lessons learned and scale effective practices, tools, and routines to improve the quality, consistency, and speed of future openings.

Leader Coaching & Capability Building

• Serve as a trusted advisor and hands-on coach to region executives, market executives, area leaders, branch leaders, and branch teams, leading through expertise and influence rather than direct authority.

• Coach leaders on local business planning, community presence, relationship acquisition, referral routines, client deepening, teammate readiness, and differentiated client experience.

• Assess capability and execution gaps, then coordinate targeted training, tools, peer learning, and enterprise support to accelerate performance.

• Build leader confidence and accountability through structured coaching cadences, field observations, action planning, and sustained follow-through.

Readiness, Launch & Sustained Execution

• Guide end-to-end readiness across staffing, training, branch operations, marketing, lead generation, partner engagement, community activation, and client experience.

• Establish and facilitate consistent readiness reviews, launch checkpoints, post-opening business reviews, and performance interventions.

• Ensure new branches activate local outreach, marketing, centers of influence, employer relationships, events, referrals, and book-of-business opportunities with disciplined follow-through.

• Identify and remove barriers that could delay readiness, weaken execution, or limit branch growth, escalating decisions and resource needs when appropriate.

Enterprise Partnership & Integration

• Partner across Branch Banking, Market Growth, Marketing, Learning, Analytics, Finance, Operations, Real Estate, Community Banking, Small Business, Premier, Wealth, and other business lines to deliver an integrated opening and growth strategy.

• Clarify roles, decision rights, timelines, and handoffs across partners to strengthen accountability and reduce execution gaps.

• Connect local leaders with enterprise capabilities, campaigns, insights, and subject-matter expertise that support market entry and sustained growth.

• Represent DeNovo performance and execution needs in senior leadership forums, providing clear updates, risks, and recommendations.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

• Define and monitor scorecards and leading indicators for readiness, activity, client acquisition, deposit growth, relationship deepening, referrals, community engagement, client experience, and teammate capability.

• Use data, field observations, and voice-of-client and voice-of-teammate insights to identify performance variances, diagnose root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

• Provide senior leaders with portfolio-level insights and recommendations on investment priorities, execution tradeoffs, emerging risks, and opportunities to improve outcomes.

• Ensure DeNovo activities are executed in accordance with applicable risk, compliance, operational, and brand standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
