Inspector Operator Lead- Night Shift

About the job

The Lead Man coordinates daily work in the inspection facility, assigning tasks and supporting inspection personnel to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This role serves as a working team lead, helping maintain quality standards, clear communication, and an organized work area.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Assign daily work and balance workloads based on priorities, staffing, and deadlines.
• Guide and support inspection personnel; provide hands-on help and training as needed.
• Confirm that inspections are performed according to applicable procedures, customer requirements, and quality standards.
• Review completed work and inspection records for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor job progress and communicate status, delays, or issues to supervisors and other teams.
• Help ensure inspection equipment and tools are available, maintained, and used correctly.
• Promote safe work practices, identify hazards, and report incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for incoming work.
• Assist with resolving routine workflow or quality issues and escalate concerns when needed.
• Support onboarding and coaching of new employees.

Qualifications

• Experience in an inspection, manufacturing, maintenance, or industrial facility.
• Previous team-lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and inspection documentation.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work on the floor and perform the physical duties required by the facility.
• Relevant inspection certifications or technical training preferred, depending on the work performed
