All Shifts Available!

1st shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3pm

2nd shift: Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm

3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7am

Weekend Shift: Saturday/Sunday/Monday 6am-6pm

Position Overview

As a Seasonal Distribution Associate at Sur La Table, you play a key role in getting every order right and every store ready for its customers. Working in our Distribution Center, you’ll pick, pack, and prepare customer orders alongside a team that takes pride in accuracy, quality, and dependability. Success in this role means meeting established target rates per hour while upholding product integrity and quality standards throughout the distribution process. The Seasonal Distribution Associate reports to either a Distribution Supervisor or Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment & Quality

• Pick, pack, and process customer orders accurately and within established target rates per hour

• Perform quality control checks throughout the fulfillment process to ensure product integrity meets Sur La Table standards prior to shipment

• Accountable for meeting quality and productivity standards

Inventory & Receiving

• Receive, inspect, and stage incoming merchandise, verifying quantities and identifying damaged or non-conforming product

• Replenish and organize inventory throughout the distribution center to support efficient picking and packing operations

• Operate RF scanning devices and pallet jacks to move, locate, and track inventory

• Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock records

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures; immediately report hazards, near misses, and workplace incidents to a supervisor

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards

• Accurately record time worked in accordance with Sur La Table policy

• Consistently follows all Sur La Table policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Team & Operational Support

• Routinely work in cross-functional roles to assist in meeting daily productivity goals, particularly during peak volume periods

• Perform all required procedures and documentation in a safe and efficient manner to maintain the highest quality finished product to our customers

• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Growth Opportunities

Seasonal Distribution Associates who demonstrate strong performance have opportunities to grow into equipment-certified roles, including forklift certification, as well as lead and supervisory positions within the Distribution Center.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to communicate verbally and work cooperatively with employees, customers, and vendors

• Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time

• Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation

• Able to work overtime and weekends as business dictates

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move merchandise weighing up to 35 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs

• Ability to grab, reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crouch in order to retrieve and/or replenish merchandise

• Ability to ascend and descend stairs in order to retrieve and/or move merchandise

• Ability to learn and operate general warehouse equipment (RF, Pallet Jack)

• Ability to perform duties in an environment that is not climate controlled and will be exposed to dust, odors and noise

Qualifications & Experience

• Prior distribution experience preferred

• Experience with warehouse management systems and hand-held devices preferred

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills

• Basic math calculations for selecting, counting, and checking work

• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation

• Ability to communicate verbally and work cooperatively with employees, customers, and vendors

• Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

• Must be at least 18 years old
