Hollywood Casino Joliet is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Buyer to support purchasing needs across all property departments. This position is responsible for sourcing and purchasing supplies, equipment, products, and services while ensuring competitive pricing, timely delivery, and excellent internal customer service.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who can manage multiple priorities, build strong vendor relationships, and help support the overall success of our casino and hospitality operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities for all property departments, including Casino Operations, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Facilities, Security, Marketing, Human Resources, and other operational areas.

• Purchase supplies, equipment, products, and services while ensuring quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.

• Partner with department leaders to understand purchasing needs and support daily operations.

• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes, establish bid parameters, and assist with vendor selection and negotiations.

• Process purchase requisitions and orders in accordance with company policies and approved budgets.

• Maintain positive vendor relationships and assist in resolving pricing, delivery, and product-related issues.

• Monitor inventory levels, participate in month-end and cycle inventories, and maintain accurate purchasing records.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements to purchasing processes.

• Support special projects and other purchasing initiatives as assigned.

• Provide exceptional internal customer service while promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of five (5) years of purchasing or related experience preferred.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with various departments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Experience with purchasing systems, vendor management, or inventory control preferred.

• Casino, hospitality, or multi-department purchasing experience is a plus.
