A growing nonprofit organization is seeking a Director of Development to lead its fundraising function and deepen its roots in the community. This individual will build and manage a robust donor pipeline, oversee grant writing, and serve as the public face of the organization's philanthropic mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy
- Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations
- Lead grant identification, writing, and reporting processes
- Organize and oversee fundraising events and campaigns
- Collaborate with marketing to build community awareness and brand affinity
- Prepare and present development reports to the Board of Directors
- Manage and mentor a development team
Ideal Background:
- 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience
- Demonstrated success growing donor bases and managing major gift portfolios
- Experience with CRM/donor management platforms (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce Nonprofit)
- CFRE certification a plus
- Passion for mission-driven causes
