About the job

Role introduction

PanKRAS represents one of the most exciting growth opportunities within AstraZeneca’s GI Oncology portfolio and is expected to play a pivotal role in our ambition to lead in Pancreatic, Colorectal, and Lung cancer. As Senior Director, Global Commercial, panKRAS, you will lead the global commercial strategy for AstraZeneca’s panKRAS asset, a clinical stage, oral, multi-target KRAS inhibitor, with the potential to transform outcomes for patients across multiple tumor settings where KRAS is considered to be a relevant clinical target.

Given the asset’s earlier stage of development, you will shape its commercial potential from the outset by providing strategic and commercial input to development priorities, evidence generation and key investment decisions. You will translate patient, customer, market and competitive insights into clear choices on target indications, patient populations, target product profile, differentiation and sequencing, while building the foundation for future launch excellence and leading commercial preparation for the panKRAS lead indication.

Job description

The Senior Director, Global Commercial, panKRAS will be part of the Global IO Commercial Franchise Team and will set and implement the global commercial strategy for this priority asset. Reflecting the asset’s earlier stage of development, the role will provide proactive commercial and strategic input to development priorities and decisions, working closely with Clinical Development, Global Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Diagnostics, Pricing and Market Access, Global Analytics & Insights, Digital, Corporate Affairs, regional and country teams, and other partners. The role will ensure that patient, customer, market and competitive insights inform indication prioritisation, target product profile, evidence-generation strategy, investment choices and the pathway to launch.

The role is accountable for creating a differentiated strategy and positioning, generating deep customer and market insights, supporting and informing development priorities and investment decisions for the clinical and evidence programme, delivering market-shaping programmes to maximise patient and business impact, and conducting commercial planning and preparations through to launch and beyond. It also represents Global Commercial perspectives in relevant cross-functional team and governance forums, ensuring development choices are grounded in future patient, customer and market needs.
