Job Description:

Position Overview:

The Senior Manager, Total Quality Systems leads and improves division quality technology systems and supports manufacturing sites with equipment selection, qualification, installation, and service. This role partners with Operations, Engineering, IT, suppliers, and Quality teams across corporate and plant locations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and improve division quality systems, including Quality Assurance and SPC, customer complaints, supplier quality, HFI, and traceability.
  • Monitor large databases, resolve errors and inconsistencies, identify root causes, and implement preventive actions.
  • Lead onsite installation, qualification, calibration, and service of quality equipment, computers, and software.
  • Assess system risks and guide plants in selecting quality equipment and technology.

Job Requirements

  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate timely equipment service, calibration, and technology updates.
  • Support audits and root cause investigations; drive corrective actions, best practices, and standard work across plants.
  • Build and maintain SharePoint sites, dashboards, and reports that communicate quality metrics and business insights.
  • Partner with IT on business applications, system upgrades, and security rollouts.
  • Develop training materials, train plant teams on SPC and quality systems, and mentor quality systems support staff.
  • Project management and supplier management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and AI tools, including Copilot, SharePoint 365, Power BI, Teams, and statistical software such as Minitab, JMP, InfinityQS, or NWA.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, and reach; occasionally balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lift or move up to 30 pounds and perform work requiring close, distance, and color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

  • Work in both office and manufacturing environments, with possible exposure to moving equipment, vehicle traffic, temperature changes, and frequent loud noise.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Quality Management Systems, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of manufacturing experience in data analytics, database management, data quality, quality assurance, or a related data-driven discipline.
  • Hands-on technical expertise with SQL database management, SQL queries and stored procedures, Python scripting, and dashboard/report development.
  • Applied quality systems experience using SPC, process capability, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, FMEA, HACCP, GMPs, continuous improvement, and Lean Six Sigma principles.
