Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Manager - Insurance (Property & Casualty) to lead enterprise-wide quality engineering initiatives for a large-scale insurance program. This role is responsible for driving the automation testing strategy, overseeing quality assurance delivery, and leading high-performing QA teams across complex testing engagements. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in test automation, quality engineering leadership, and Property & Casualty insurance, along with a proven track record of delivering scalable and efficient testing solutions.

About the Role

As an Automation Test Manager - Insurance (Property & Casualty), you will be responsible for defining and executing an automation-first quality strategy while ensuring the successful delivery of testing services across multiple workstreams. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable automation frameworks spanning UI, API, database, and other testing layers, while driving continuous quality improvements through metrics, root cause analysis, and best practices.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to establish quality standards, manage testing teams, and support the adoption of AI-enabled testing approaches, including the use of generative AI tools and intelligent automation capabilities. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills, deep automation expertise, and Property & Casualty insurance domain knowledge to deliver high-quality solutions and accelerate business outcomes.

In This Role, You Will

• Drive automation-first quality strategy and lead automation solutions across programs.

• Design scalable automation architectures spanning UI, API, Mobile, and Database layers.

• Embed GenAI-driven testing using LLMs (GPT-4/4o, Claude, Gemini, Llama) with advanced Prompt Engineering.

• Leverage GitHub Copilot and Claude to enable AI-assisted automation and enforce CI/CD quality gates.

Work Model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Charlotte, NC. Required Qualifications

• 15+ yrs. QA experience candidate with 10+ yrs. of lead exposure

• Hands on experience on test management tools like Rally, ALM and Jira

• General Insurance domain with Property & Casualty

• Experience in building QA metrics and building root cause analysis reports

• Background on test automation (java/Selenium)

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until October 25th , 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $112,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
