Team Lead – Quality Inspection
Pay: $18.00/hour Shift: 1st Shift, 8am start time Location: Ligonier, IN
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Team Lead to oversee daily quality inspection activities and provide guidance and support to a team of inspectors. The Team Lead will help ensure quality standards are consistently met, communicate process changes, train team members, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.
This is a hands-on leadership position that requires strong communication, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to site personnel
- Train inspectors and ensure team members follow established quality processes
- Communicate changes to projects, processes, and work instructions
- Perform quality inspections when needed
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or processes
- Troubleshoot and help resolve quality and production-related issues
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customer personnel
- Help maintain accurate reports, audits, and required documentation
- Use scanners and other inventory management tools as needed
Qualifications
- Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred
- 1+ year of quality-related experience preferred
- Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Experience using gauges and measuring devices preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move 30–50 pounds
- Ability to repeatedly lift, twist, grip, reach, pull, push, bend, squat, and kneel
- Ability to work around machinery, noise, fumes, odors, and varying temperatures
