SUMMARY

This role is responsible to ensure, for clinical department(s), that equipment and patient rooms are in an efficient state of readiness. Responsible for maintenance and tracking of equipment, processing of equipment and equipment delivery to various areas.

SCHEDULE: 7:00 am to 3:30pm- M-F

ATTRI****BUTES

  • Two years clinical healthcare experience preferred. Good people skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple requests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for unit rounds to assure appropriate equipment location and state of readiness. Performs basic preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Assists staff with room/equipment set up, clean up and room turnover. Maintains frequent and effective communication with clinical team re: needs.
  • Utilizes personal protection equipment and work practice controls to prevent/minimize occupational exposure to blood or other infectious materials. Chemical cleaning of equipment as required.
  • Coordinates pick up and delivery of patient care equipment as required or requested. Assures timely delivery to appropriate locations.
  • Miscellaneous duties such as patient transport, equipment delivery, lab and specimen transport as required.
  • Coordinates and tracks equipment repair and time turnaround with other departments.
  • Adheres to all Unity Health System policy and procedures. Keeps updated and actively participates in department and hospital operational initiatives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Moderate - These roles require a combination of movement and stationary work, including frequent standing, walking, and moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs.). Tasks may involve repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, or pulling, along with maintaining awareness in high-traffic or operational areas. Visual focus and spatial awareness are critical in facilities, logistics, or support settings. Emotional demands include managing interruptions, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. Environmental exposures may include equipment noise, shared workspaces, and occasional proximity to hazardous areas. Physical capability screening may be required.

$17.50 - $21.58

14621 The posted pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for this position. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates could vary based on position details and FTE. Pay is determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, locations, and contracts.
