Graduate Development Program Trainee – Medical Device (Plymouth, MN)
Philips is seeking recent graduates to join a Graduate Development Program within Image Guided Therapy Devices in our Plymouth, MN office starting in November. This entry-level program provides a structured development experience through broad, business-critical rotations over the next three years. Participants will build technical, functional, and business capability while contributing to meaningful healthcare solutions.
Your role:
- Contribute to projects and initiatives by coordinating planning, execution, monitoring, and closure activities in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct research and analysis, synthesize information from multiple sources, and create clear reports, presentations, and recommendations.
- Apply developing technical or functional knowledge to help address low- to medium-complexity business challenges and support innovative solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, performance measures, or operational efficiency and support implementation of practical improvements.
- Set measurable milestones with your manager or mentor, seek and apply feedback, and take ownership of your development throughout the program.
- Communicate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at different levels and across functions.
You are the right fit if:
- You have completed a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Degrees in engineering, science, or other technical disciplines are strongly preferred; candidates with other relevant academic backgrounds will also be considered.
- You do not need prior full-time work experience, but relevant internship, co-op, research, project, or business experience is preferred.
- You should have a strong interest in healthcare, technology, and improving lives through meaningful work.
- You bring strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- You have a proactive learning mindset, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively across teams and cultures.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This is an office-based role.

Philips Transparency Details:
The pay for this position in Plymouth, MN is $75,000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

- Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Plymouth MN.
