About the job

Job Description

Join JPMorganChase and lead a portfolio of data products that sit at the intersection of AI, analytics, and enterprise-scale impact. As a Product Director within Consumer & Community Banking, you will shape how thousands of internal partners access, trust, and act on data — turning raw information into measurable business outcomes. This is a rare opportunity to build empowered product teams, influence firm-wide data strategy, and accelerate the adoption of self-service AI capabilities across one of the world's largest financial institutions.

As a Product Director - Data Products at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking Data Products team, you will own the vision, strategy, and delivery of cross-functional data products that power analytics, operations, marketing, and risk across the business. You will lead empowered product teams operating in a continuous discovery model — validating problems before building solutions, partnering deeply with Engineering and Design, and driving outcomes measured by customer and business impact. Your work will directly enable faster, smarter decisions across Card, Home Lending, Auto, Wealth Management, and Connected Commerce.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision for data products aligned to Consumer & Community Banking priorities, translating strategy into clear, outcome-based objectives and key results
  • Lead continuous discovery practices including problem framing, opportunity assessment, rapid prototyping, and high-velocity testing across value, usability, feasibility, and viability dimensions
  • Partner with Engineering and Design in an empowered team model, co-creating solutions and jointly committing to measurable outcomes rather than feature delivery
  • Convert validated opportunities into minimal lovable products and iterate toward durable scale with reliability, transparency, and governance standards consistently met
  • Collaborate across multiple business lines including Card, Home Lending, Auto, Wealth Management, and Connected Commerce to align priorities, surface tradeoffs, and drive shared outcomes
  • Instrument data products for adoption, engagement, and business impact; actively manage product health and risk across all four product risk dimensions
  • Fuel the development of AI-powered self-service tools that reduce time-to-insight and increase the volume of validated, data-informed decisions across the business
  • Communicate product strategy through crisp narratives, decomposed bets, and transparent decision logs to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain governance standards for data products operating in a regulated environment, ensuring privacy, reliability, and compliance requirements are met

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification on product engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable business outcomes through data, analytics, or self-service platform products at enterprise scale
  • Deep expertise in discovery techniques including opportunity assessment, hypothesis-driven prototyping, and qualitative and quantitative testing methods
  • Strong fluency in data concepts including customer segmentation, attribution modeling, experiment design, instrumentation, and data governance in regulated environments
  • Demonstrated ability to align cross-functional leaders, resolve competing priorities, and drive decisions across multiple lines of business
  • Technical fluency sufficient to collaborate effectively with engineering teams on APIs, data pipelines, machine learning-powered experiences, and privacy architecture
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to frame complex problems clearly and present decisions with transparency to senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience building or scaling AI-powered or machine learning-integrated data products in a large financial services or similarly regulated enterprise
  • Familiarity with modern data platform concepts such as data mesh, data contracts, or federated governance models
  • Experience operating within an empowered product team model using continuous discovery and dual-track execution frameworks
  • Prior experience working across multiple business segments or lines of business within a matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated ability to define and manage outcome-based roadmaps tied to key business metrics such as targeting effectiveness, operational efficiency, or risk reduction
