About the job

Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish. Dynamic, intelligent people and inspiring, innovative technologies are the norm here. The people who work here have reinvented entire industries with all Apple Hardware products. The same passion for innovation that goes into our products also applies to our practices strengthening our dedication to leave the world better than we found it. Join us in these pursuits and help deliver the next groundbreaking Apple product!

Apple's silicon is the foundation of every product we make. In this role, you will help us find and fix system-level issues months before silicon arrives. During the SoC concept phase, you will identify what can be validated in simulation, emulation, and FPGA platforms, and drive those opportunities from idea to execution. You will partner closely with SoC, software, and hardware systems teams to shift validation earlier and make sure we are ready on day one of silicon bring-up.

Responsibilities

  • Assess SoC concepts and system use cases to identify which behaviors, scenarios, and workloads can be validated in pre-silicon platforms (models, emulation, FPGA).
  • Partner with pre-silicon modeling, emulation/FPGA, silicon design, verification, validation, core software, and platform architecture teams to accelerate software development and validation readiness ahead of silicon.
  • Work with technical managers and contributors to understand key silicon development risks and prioritize work streams across multiple projects.
  • Define and track milestones for pre-silicon readiness, and report progress and risks to stakeholders.
  • Collect partner requirements, then rank and prioritize requests for model and collateral improvements based on impact and feasibility.
  • Distill complex technical topics into clear updates for engineers, managers, and leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience in SoC or embedded system hardware/software design, integration, or validation.
  • Working knowledge of how silicon, firmware, and software interact at the system level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience validating consumer electronics products or platforms at the system level.
  • Familiarity with pre-silicon methods such as virtual platforms, emulation, FPGA prototyping, or simulation.
  • Technical program management or cross-functional leadership experience in a validation or hardware development environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Creative and analytical problem solving, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Ability to filter and tailor information to the right audience.
