The Product Manager will partner closely with the Bioprocess Design Center innovation and technical teams as well as Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Quality, Legal, and other functions to take new service concepts from customer insight through stage-gate development, launch, and ongoing portfolio management.

What will you do?

Service Offering Development & Lifecycle Management

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Bioprocess Design Center service offerings, from market and customer needs identification through development, commercialization, launch, and ongoing optimization.
  • Partner with innovation and technical teams to translate new technical capabilities and customer needs into well-defined, scalable service offerings.
  • Lead the commercial elements of the stage-gate development process, including Voice of Customer (VOC), market assessment, customer requirements, value proposition, business case, pricing strategy, launch requirements, and commercial readiness.
  • Define service offering requirements and ensure appropriate documentation and processes are established to enable consistent delivery to customers.
  • Develop and maintain the service portfolio roadmap, identifying opportunities for new offerings, enhancements, and portfolio optimization based on customer needs, market trends, and business priorities.

Customer & Market Strategy

  • Develop a deep understanding of biotech & biopharma customer workflows, unmet needs, buying behaviors, and decision criteria through direct customer engagement, VOC research, and partnership with commercial teams.
  • Define customer and market segmentation for Bioprocess Design Center services and identify priority customer segments, applications, and use cases.
  • Develop compelling value propositions, positioning, and messaging that clearly articulate the customer and business value of each service offering.
  • Conduct market and competitive assessments to identify trends, unmet customer needs, differentiation opportunities, and potential new service offerings.
  • Translate customer insights into actionable requirements and recommendations for technical and commercial teams.

Go-to-Market & Commercialization

  • Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for new and existing Bioprocess Design Center service offerings.
  • Develop launch plans in partnership with Marketing, Commercial, and technical teams, including positioning, pricing, sales enablement, customer-facing collateral, training, and launch communications.
  • Partner with regional and global commercial teams to build awareness, generate demand, and support customer adoption of service offerings.
  • Develop tools and training that enable sales and technical teams to identify appropriate customer opportunities, communicate value, and position Bioprocess Design Center services effectively.
  • Engage directly with customers and commercial teams to support strategic opportunities and gather feedback to continuously improve the portfolio.
  • Establish and track KPIs for service offerings, including pipeline, adoption, conversion, revenue, customer satisfaction, and other measures of commercial performance.

On-Market Offering Management & Operationalization

  • Own the commercial framework and requirements for on-market service offerings, ensuring services can be consistently positioned, sold, initiated, delivered, and supported.
  • Develop and maintain the service project intake process, including customer qualification, required project information, scope definition, and appropriate handoffs between commercial and technical teams.
  • Partner with technical, Quality, Legal, and other functional teams to establish standardized project release packages and customer deliverables for each service offering.
  • Establish clear requirements and governance for customer project documentation, including data management and retention policies, in partnership with appropriate functional stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery processes, customer experience, scalability, and operational efficiency as the Bioprocess Design Center portfolio grows.
  • Gather feedback from customers, commercial teams, and technical teams following service delivery and incorporate learnings into offering enhancements and future roadmap priorities.

Business & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Develop business cases, financial models, forecasts, and pricing recommendations to support portfolio investment and commercialization decisions.
  • Monitor service portfolio performance and provide recommendations to improve adoption, customer value, revenue, profitability, and overall portfolio effectiveness.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across Innovation, R&D/Technical, Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Quality, Legal, Customer Service, and Operations.
  • Serve as a primary product management interface between the Bioprocess Design Center technical organization and commercial teams.
  • Champion the voice of the customer throughout service development and lifecycle management.
