Job summary

The National Account Manager, Ecommerce is responsible for developing and executing omnichannel sales and growth strategies across Eaton's key ecommerce and retail customers. This role leads strategic customer relationships with Amazon and approximately six additional ecommerce retailers while supporting brick-and-mortar retail partnerships to deliver a seamless customer experience across online and offline channels.

The position serves as the primary commercial leader for assigned national accounts, driving revenue growth, market share expansion, category growth, customer engagement, and profitable sales performance. The role collaborates cross-functionally with product management, marketing, category management, supply chain, customer service, and sales leadership to develop and execute customer strategies aligned with Eaton's omnichannel growth objectives.

The successful candidate will possess expertise in ecommerce, omnichannel sales, key account management, online marketplace management, digital merchandising, retail media, strategic business planning, and customer development. This position requires up to 25% travel to customer locations, industry events, trade shows, and internal meetings.

Job responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic omnichannel business plans for Amazon and approximately six assigned ecommerce and retail accounts to achieve sales, profit, revenue growth, and market share objectives.

• Own customer relationships at multiple organizational levels within assigned accounts and serve as Eaton's primary commercial point of contact.

• Identify and develop growth opportunities through assortment expansion, promotional programs, ecommerce initiatives, retail media, digital merchandising, marketplace optimization, and new product introductions.

• Lead annual business planning, forecasting, joint business planning, and customer business review processes with assigned customers.

• Analyze customer performance, category trends, market conditions, competitive activity, and business data to identify opportunities, risks, and growth strategies.

• Develop pricing, promotional, assortment, and omnichannel sales strategies that support profitable growth and customer objectives across ecommerce and brick-and-mortar channels.

• Partner with marketing, ecommerce, product management, retail sales, supply chain, customer service, and operations teams to improve customer engagement and execution.

• Drive execution of digital content, merchandising, advertising, retail media, and ecommerce initiatives that improve online visibility, conversion, and sales performance.

• Communicate voice-of-customer insights to internal stakeholders and influence product, marketing, sales, and ecommerce strategies.

• Build and maintain a multi-year opportunity pipeline to support long-term growth objectives and customer development plans.

• Negotiate annual agreements, promotional programs, pricing initiatives, and business plans that align customer needs with Eaton's strategic objectives.

• Collaborate across multiple business units, sales teams, and channel partners to maximize share of wallet, customer penetration, and omnichannel growth.

• Support the development and utilization of dashboards, reporting tools, business intelligence, and analytics used to drive customer growth and business decisions.

• Build executive-level customer relationships and influence strategic business decisions that support mutual growth and long-term partnerships.

• Drive best practices in ecommerce, omnichannel selling, category management, marketplace management, and customer development.

• Travel up to 25% to support customer meetings, business reviews, industry events, trade shows, and internal strategic planning activities.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, ecommerce, omnichannel sales, marketing, or national account management.

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

• Experience managing strategic national accounts across ecommerce, marketplace, and brick-and-mortar retail channels, including Amazon and other national ecommerce retailers.

• Demonstrated success developing and executing customer business plans, forecasting processes, joint business plans, and revenue growth strategies.

• Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving results within a matrix organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.

• Experience with Amazon Vendor Central, Seller Central, or similar ecommerce platforms preferred.

Technical knowledge

• Strong understanding of ecommerce business models, omnichannel retail strategies, online marketplaces, and brick-and-mortar retail environments.

• Knowledge of digital merchandising, content optimization, online marketing, retail media, pricing strategies, and promotional planning.

• Experience with Amazon Vendor Central, Seller Central, or similar ecommerce and marketplace platforms preferred.

• Experience with Salesforce, Power BI, Excel, SAP, or similar business systems, analytics, and reporting tools.

• Strong analytical, financial, and business acumen with the ability to leverage data to drive customer growth and strategic business decisions.

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive.  This position has a target total compensation range of $123,750 - $181,500

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
