SUMMARY
Complement The US Business Development Manager’s efforts and expand our capabilities to continue investing in strategic growth initiatives across the United States. Help to build an industry-leading Business Development organization that proactively identifies opportunities before they become requests for quotation. Create opportunities, open doors, build relationships, identify new markets, and help our regional sales teams win business they may not otherwise have known existed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Developing and expanding new business opportunities, markets, and strategic customer relationships
- Supporting major aerospace, space, defense and industrial growth initiatives
- Assisting with trade show planning, customer engagement strategy, and industry networking events
- Identifying new OEMs, programs, platforms and emerging technologies
- Coordinate internally on strategic marketing, website content enhancements, and customer outreach initiatives
- Supporting a new CRM strategy, market intelligence, and lead pipeline development for the regional sales teams
- Collaboration with the direct sales team to increase customer penetration and account growth
- Working cross functionally across sales, contracts, marketing, operations, IT, and with the executive team to execute strategic initiatives
- Helping to position AMI Metals as the preferred strategic distribution partner throughout our key market supply chains
- Planning to spend on average 50% of the month in the field working directly with customers via on site visits, supplier conferences, trade shows and other industry events

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Compensation Range
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $60,000.00/Yr. - USD $80,000.00/Yr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location. EEO Statement
