About the job

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Aftermarket Account Manager  based in the United States.

Take ownership of key aftermarket customer relationships across the Northeast, helping strengthen partnerships, improve customer satisfaction, and drive sustainable sales growth. In this remote role, you will serve as the central connection between customers and internal teams, ensuring customer needs are translated into effective commercial strategies and coordinated solutions. You will lead quotation processes, support negotiations, and identify opportunities to expand business across the commercial vehicle and automotive aftermarket sectors. Working cross-functionally with sales, product development, manufacturing, and other stakeholders, you will help deliver reliable service throughout the customer value chain. This opportunity is ideal for a commercially minded professional with strong relationship-building skills, technical sales experience, and a willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.

Accountabilities

  • Manage customer relationships: Oversee assigned aftermarket accounts across the Northeast, strengthening customer partnerships and maintaining a reputation as a reliable, preferred business partner.

  • Drive sales growth: Develop and execute account strategies that support revenue growth, strengthen customer retention, and identify new commercial opportunities.

  • Lead quotation activities: Manage the request-for-quotation process for customer inquiries, coordinating internal resources to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive proposals.

  • Champion the customer perspective: Gather customer feedback, understand expectations, and communicate needs throughout the organization to ensure responsive, customer-focused solutions.

  • Coordinate internal account teams: Align internal stakeholders and strengthen collaboration to meet customer commitments, resolve issues, and deliver consistent service.

  • Support commercial negotiations: Participate in customer negotiations involving contracts, pricing, and promotional programs while supporting mutually beneficial business outcomes.

  • Collaborate on product strategies: Work with relevant business units to align product development priorities with customer requirements, market trends, and regional opportunities.

  • Lead customer initiatives: Initiate and coordinate sales campaigns, projects, customer events, and other activities designed to improve engagement and commercial performance.

  • Ensure service excellence: Promote high service standards across the value chain, from product development and manufacturing through order fulfillment and delivery.

  • Monitor regional and customer needs: Maintain a strong understanding of the assigned territory, customer priorities, and market dynamics to inform account planning and commercial decisions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered.

  • At least six years of experience in technical sales, commercial account management, or a related field, preferably within the heavy-truck industry, automotive market, or aftermarket sales.

  • Experience in the commercial vehicle sector is highly preferred.

  • Strong commercial understanding of the assigned region and its customers, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop effective account strategies.

  • Proven customer relationship management and negotiation skills, including the ability to support contract discussions and promotional initiatives.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain customer needs, coordinate stakeholders, and influence internal and external partners.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams, with strong Excel skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer priorities, coordinate cross-functional activities, and maintain responsiveness in a customer-facing environment.

  • A proactive, commercially focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%–75% of the time throughout the assigned territory.

  • Ability to work remotely while maintaining effective collaboration with internal teams and customers.

Benefits

  • Annual incentive plan: Opportunity to earn additional compensation through an annual incentive program.

  • Paid time off: Paid leave to support personal needs and work-life balance.

  • Paid holidays: Company-recognized holidays.

  • Retirement savings: Access to a 401(k) plan.

  • Healthcare benefits: Health coverage and related employee benefits.
