Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Axis Hotel Group Inc**.** The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead our Courtyard by Marriott Fresno Downtown. You’ll be accountable for guest satisfaction, team performance, financial results and Marriott brand standards. This role suits a leader who is visible on property, coaches the team, and treats the hotel like a business.

What You’ll Do

Lead all hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage (The Bistro)

Own the P&L: build and manage budgets, forecasts and labor models, and control costs without hurting the guest experience

Partner with sales and revenue management to grow RevPAR and market share against the comp set

Improve guest satisfaction scores (Marriott GSS/Medallia) and maintain brand standards and quality audit results

Recruit, train, develop and retain a high-performing team, and build a culture of accountability and hospitality

Keep the property in excellent physical condition, oversee preventive maintenance and capital projects, and support renovations

Ensure compliance with safety, health, employment and licensing requirements

Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations and corporate accounts

Report regularly to ownership on performance, opportunities and risks

What We Need:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred (non required)

3+ years of hotel leadership experience; food and beverage exposure preferred

Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success managing budgets, revenue, expenses, and overall hotel performance

Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams

Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively partner with associates, Davidson leadership, and ownership

Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a demonstrated ability to drive results

Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills

Passion for hospitality and a genuine commitment to creating exceptional guest and associate experiences
