Introducing yabot.jobs
A free, open-source job search that reads company career pages directly, tells you how well you fit, and helps you put your best application forward.
Finding a job shouldn't be a second job
Job searching today means scrolling the same reposted listings on five sites, applying to roles that were filled weeks ago, and rewriting your resume for every application. Then you hear nothing back.
We built yabot.jobs to fix the parts of that we could. It's a free, open-source job search that pulls jobs straight from company career pages, tells you how well you fit before you apply, and helps you put your best application forward.
Jobs straight from the source
yabot.jobs doesn't copy listings from other job boards. It reads company career sites directly. That's over a million jobs so far, from more than 10,000 companies, with about 30,000 new ones every weekday, in every sector, not just tech.
- You see roles early. Most new postings show up the same day the company publishes them, and nearly all by the next day.
- Closed jobs disappear. yabot.jobs keeps checking company sites, and when a job comes down from a site we read in full, it's marked closed. In the last 30 days alone, we closed 51,452 jobs that companies had taken down.
- You see the real date. Many careers pages hide when a job was posted, or reset the date when they refresh a listing. yabot.jobs never dates a job later than the day it first found it, so a refreshed listing can't pass as new.
Why that matters: in our data, nearly half of open tech and startup jobs are over two months old.
Finding the right jobs
You can browse without signing up.
- Search by title or company. A tech title also finds its related titles, so "software engineer" finds Backend Engineer jobs too. Results show the newest postings first, sorted by when the company actually posted them.
- Search a whole metro area. One search covers a city and its suburbs, so "Austin" includes Round Rock and Cedar Park.
- Filter by how you want to work. Remote, hybrid or on-site, or only jobs posted in the last 24 hours.
- Get alerts. Save a search and get an email when a matching job goes up, so you can apply in the first few days.
Applying, from fit score to interview prep
Once you find a job, yabot.jobs takes you through five steps in one place:
- Evaluate your resume. You get a fit score out of 100, the gaps between your resume and the job, and a plain-English read that includes the honest risks. Every point is broken down by category, so you can see where it came from.
- Tailor your resume. One click rebuilds your resume for the job and scores it again. You review what the AI added and keep only what you can speak to.
- Write a cover letter. A draft written for that job, from your resume.
- Apply on the company's site. You hit apply yourself. Nothing is ever submitted for you.
- Prep for the interview. Likely questions, talking points from your experience, and questions to ask them.
Every job you work on is tracked with its status, notes and reminders, so you always know where each application stands.
Free to start, fair after
Searching, tracking, notes and reminders are always free. The AI steps cost something to run, so they work like this:
