Terms
The ground rules.
Last updated October 21, 2026
The short version
- Your resume and everything you add stay yours.
- AI scores and writing can be wrong. Check them before you send anything to an employer.
- Job listings come from company career sites. We are not the employer and cannot promise a listing is accurate or still open.
- The $5 plan renews monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime.
- Use the site fairly: no abuse, no scraping beyond the API we offer.
Who we are
Yabot Jobs is a project of Vectorwell Technologies ("we", "us"). These terms cover your use of the website at yabot.jobs, the app, and the API and access tokens we offer (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
How we handle your data is explained on the privacy page, which is part of these terms.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email, or with Google. Keep access to that email or Google account secure, because anyone who has it can sign in as you.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including through any access token you create.
- One person per account. Do not sign up on someone else's behalf without their permission.
Your content
You own the resumes, notes, and anything else you add, and the tailored resumes and cover letters made for you. You give us permission to store, process, and send that content to an AI provider only as needed to run the service for you, as described on the privacy page. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Only add content you have the right to use, and do not add anyone else's personal data without permission.
AI results
Fit scores, tailored resumes, cover letters, and interview prep are written by AI. They can be incomplete or wrong, and a score is an estimate, not a prediction of whether you will be hired.
- Read everything before you use it. You decide what to send to an employer.
- Make sure anything you submit accurately reflects your experience. You are responsible for what you send.
Job listings
Listings are collected from public company career sites. We do our best to keep them current, but we do not guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete, or still open. We are not the employer, we are not part of any hiring decision, and we do not apply to jobs for you. You always apply on the company's own site, under its terms.
Plans and payment
- Searching, tracking, notes, and reminders are free.
- New accounts get a limited number of free AI job evaluations.
- The Hosted AI plan is $5 a month for up to 100 job evaluations a month. It is billed in advance by Stripe and renews each month until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime. Your plan keeps working until the end of the month you paid for, and then it stops renewing. We do not refund partial months, except where the law requires it.
- If we change the price, we will tell you before your next renewal at the new price.
- If you use your own AI key, the AI provider bills you directly under its own terms. Those charges are between you and the provider.
Fair use
Please do not:
- Break the law, or use the service to harass, deceive, or harm anyone.
- Try to get around usage limits, access other people's data, or break the site's security.
- Scrape the site or hammer it with automated requests. For automated access, use the API and access tokens we provide, at a reasonable pace.
- Resell the service, or the hosted AI included with it, to others.
Open source
The code behind Yabot Jobs is open source. Your use of the code is governed by its license (MIT for the website). These terms cover the hosted service at yabot.jobs.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service anytime, and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. We may also change or stop offering parts of the service; if that affects a paid plan, we will give you notice and stop charging you.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will get you a job.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, or data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will let you know on the site or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
