About the job

How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Onboard Brand Experience (OBX) is responsible for the development and management of fleet investment initiatives and onboard product strategies that enhance both the passenger experience and the Delta brand.  This position is part of the Fleet CX team which develops Delta’s aircraft interior design and hard products, ensuring Delta retains its leading position in a rapidly evolving industry.

The Lead Product Manager – OBX leads hard-product strategy and development initiatives for Delta’s diverse fleet of aircraft (new deliveries and major modifications).  Job functions include performing analyses of Delta’s product to identify opportunities to elevate the customer experience; guiding Delta’s product strategy for upcoming fleet programs; leading next generation product design initiatives from concept to completion; preparing business cases, presentations, and briefings; and presenting to senior leaders on a regular basis.

In addition, the Lead Product Manager owns multiple fleet programs from a product perspective, and partners with teams across the company to manage the development and timely implementation of cabin interior products and features – including seats, monuments, lavatories, trim & finish, lighting, in-seat power, seatback IFE, and other prominent customer-facing commodities.

A successful candidate must be comfortable working independently and on cross-divisional teams of internal and external partners (e.g., engineers, program managers, and frontline representatives).  The Lead Product Manager is expected to be proactive and organized – requiring minimal supervision or direction.

Always the advocate for Delta’s customers, the Lead Product Manager must be able to create and understand aircraft interior design specifications, draw insights from customer data, develop business cases for aircraft projects, create high-level communications and presentations for leadership regarding onboard products, lead a team to ensure product specifications are met, and ensure aircraft projects remain on track.  An understanding and passion for the customer experience and a drive to innovate - both at Delta and throughout the industry - is a must.

This position is located in Atlanta and reports to the Manager - Onboard Brand Experience.

This position requires periodic domestic and overseas travel for product development and program management.
