As an assistant product development manager (APDM) for Commercial Lines, you'll lead the product development implementation for fleet & specialty programs (FSP). Partnering with underwriting, pricing, IT, vendor management, and product teams, you'll execute product enhancements, rate revisions, underwriting tool improvements, and strategic initiatives. You’ll also support product monitoring and future segmentation efforts. ****
This is a remote position.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher with an emphasis in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Quantitative Research or Actuarial Science or related field of study ****
- Minimum of five years related professional experience (e.g., analytical work in a professional setting) ****
- Selection for this job family requires participation in Progressive's PM Assessment Process, consistent with guidelines set out by the Recruiting organization. Tenure at the Assistant Product Development Manager level generally will be 12-36 months. If the Assistant Product Manager has not demonstrated the capability for promotion to the next career level in this time, other career paths will be sought. ****
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of commercial lines products.
- Strong analytical and technical skills (SQL, SAS, R, Python, Power BI, or similar tools).
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and influence outcomes across cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing business implementations, system conversions, vendor relationships, underwriting tools, and product performance reporting, with the ability to identify and implement segmentation, underwriting, pricing, or process improvements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business partners, translate business objectives into actionable requirements, and drive execution across underwriting, pricing, IT, and product teams.
Compensation

Base: $132,210- $161,590/year

Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
