About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support and optimize enterprise database environments across multiple database management systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a DBA who enjoys working with a variety of technologies, collaborating across teams, and supporting mission-critical applications in a complex environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage database environments, including instance administration, security, user permissions, monitoring, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
- Architect, implement, and optimize database solutions across multiple DBMS platforms.
- Create and support SQL code, stored procedures, and database-related deliverables.
- Provide database support and subject matter expertise to development teams and end users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, tickets, and service requests.
- Participate in database design, requirements gathering, and solution architecture discussions.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and networking teams to resolve system issues.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions to improve database reliability and uptime.
- Perform database migrations, upgrades, and platform conversions.
Required Qualifications

3+ years of Database Administration experience.

Strong experience with SQL performance tuning and query optimization.

Hands-on experience with database architecture and design.

Experience managing database instances in enterprise environments.

Experience supporting application development teams.

Experience with multiple database platforms, including:

Oracle
-
Microsoft SQL Server
-
PostgreSQL

Experience with database migrations and DBMS conversions.

Strong understanding of operating systems, storage infrastructure, and networking concepts related to database environments.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise systems.
- Exposure to cloud database platforms and modernization initiatives.
- Experience implementing database monitoring and automation solutions.
- Prior experience in highly regulated environments is a plus.
