Job Description

Job Duties

Platform Development

  • Design, build, and maintain both the frontend and backend of a new internal AI-powered platform — taking ownership of features from development through production deployment
  • Build and maintain integrations between the platform and cloud services, AI APIs, and internal data sources
  • Write clean, tested, and well-documented code across the full stack (Python backend + React/TypeScript frontend)
  • Contribute to architectural discussions with guidance from senior engineers — learning to think beyond the feature and consider system design

AI & Automation

  • Integrate generative AI and LLM capabilities into the platform to help business teams find information faster, answer questions, and automate repetitive workflows
  • Begin applying agentic and tool-calling patterns with growing independence — supported by senior engineers

Collaboration & Requirements

  • Partner with business teams to understand workflows and translate them into working software features — with some guidance on scoping and prioritization
  • Participate actively in design reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Security & Governance

  • Implement secure authentication and access control (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC) appropriate for sensitive business data
  • Follow and contribute to data governance practices to ensure the platform handles information responsibly

Engineering Practices

  • Contribute to and follow team engineering best practices — unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and documentation
  • Work confidently within CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy features to production
  • Use observability and monitoring tools to diagnose issues and understand platform health in production

Iteration & Improvement

  • Gather and act on real user feedback to iterate on features over time
  • Balance speed and reliability — shipping incrementally while maintaining production quality standards
