About the job

Why This Role Matters

At Claritev, our SAP Finance platform serves as the backbone of critical business operations, supporting finance, client billing, procurement, compliance, and enterprise decision-making. As Director, Technology – SAP Finance Platforms, you will lead the strategy, modernization, and operational excellence of Claritev’s primary enterprise platform, ensuring it continues to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Reporting to the VP, Technology – Strategic Enterprise Systems, this role will shape the future of SAP across the organization by driving digital transformation, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and cloud-based innovation. You will partner closely with leaders across Finance, Procurement, and Internal Audit to deliver secure, scalable, and intuitive solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and support business growth.

This is a unique opportunity for a technology leader with deep SAP Finance expertise and a strong accounting and finance foundation to influence enterprise-wide strategy while leading a critical modernization journey within Claritev’s SAP ecosystem.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and execute a multi-year SAP Finance platform strategy and roadmap aligned with Finance and Procurement priorities.

  • Lead modernization initiatives across SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP BRIM, SAP Ariba, SAP GRC, and related cloud technologies within Claritev’s RISE with SAP environment.

  • Drive digital transformation efforts leveraging automation, AI, analytics, and modern integration capabilities to simplify business processes and improve outcomes.

  • Serve as the platform owner for SAP Finance, establishing governance, performance metrics, lifecycle management practices, and continuous improvement strategies.

  • Partner with Finance and Procurement stakeholders to optimize record-to-report, order-to-cash, billing, and source-to-pay processes through automation and process redesign.

  • Lead teams responsible for SAP platform delivery, enhancements, integrations, support, and operational excellence.

  • Oversee SAP compliance and controls, including SOX, SOC 1, IT General Controls (ITGCs), SAP GRC operations, segregation of duties, access reviews, audit readiness, and automated control monitoring.

  • Manage strategic relationships with SAP, implementation partners, and managed service providers while ensuring successful execution of key initiatives.

  • Own SAP platform budgeting, investment planning, and vendor management activities to maximize business value and return on investment.

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level business cases, technology recommendations, roadmaps, and transformation strategies.

  • Lead organizational change management efforts, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption planning for major system initiatives.

  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing enterprise systems teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

  • 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including 7+ years leading SAP Finance platforms and enterprise systems teams.

  • Deep expertise with SAP Finance solutions, including SAP FICO and SAP S/4HANA Finance.

  • Strong experience supporting order-to-cash, invoicing, revenue management, and billing operations in high-volume transactional environments.

  • Experience with SAP source-to-pay capabilities, including SAP Ariba or comparable SAP-integrated procurement platforms.

  • Strong finance and accounting foundation demonstrated through an Accounting or Finance degree, prior controllership or finance experience, and/or CPA or CMA credentials.

  • Proven ownership of SOX and SOC 1 compliance programs within SAP environments, including control matrix design, ITGCs, SAP GRC administration, and audit management.

  • Demonstrated success leading SAP transformations, large-scale upgrades, cloud migrations, or modernization initiatives.

  • Experience implementing automation, AI/ML, analytics, and enterprise integration strategies.

  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Experience managing technology budgets, external vendors, systems integrators, and strategic technology partnerships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.

  • Experience within high-growth, multi-business-unit, highly regulated, healthcare, or claims-based billing environments.

  • Experience with RISE with SAP, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Integration Suite, SAP Identity Access Governance (IAG), SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud.

  • Experience developing business cases, financial models, total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses, and investment strategies.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling executive-level business narratives.

  • Experience driving AI, automation, and digital transformation programs at enterprise scale.
