About the job
We are seeking a Director, POM Product Management Manager for our Data Platform. The role is located in our New York, NY or Lake Mary, FL offices.
This role will drive product strategy and execution for one of BNY’s most consequential enterprise data priorities: establishing a unified, governed foundation for client, account, and relationship data. By connecting and optimizing the end-to-end client lifecycle, this foundation will replace siloed onboarding processes with a scalable operating model that delivers consistent client experiences, stronger data integrity, and greater operational efficiency from initial engagement through servicing.
The successful candidate will translate BNY’s 1BNY client ambition into an integrated transformation agenda spanning policy, process, platform architecture, governance, and adoption. This role will position Enterprise Onboarding as the strategic Single Front Door for origination and Enterprise Data Master as the authoritative source of record.
By replacing fragmented local practices with enterprise standards and embedding mastered identifiers, relationships, and attributes across onboarding, servicing, billing, risk, reporting, and control processes, this leader will simplify the operating environment and turn trusted data into measurable gains in client experience, risk management, efficiency, and growth.
Key Responsibilities Assess end-to-end data flows, lineage, processes, controls, and operating models to identify gaps, duplication, risk, and high-value opportunities. Define target-state data capabilities, architecture, operating models, and implementation roadmaps aligned to enterprise priorities. Lead process redesign and data transformation initiatives that materially improve automation, scalability, data quality, and operational efficiency. Mobilize senior stakeholders across businesses and functions, resolve competing priorities, and convert strategic decisions into sustained execution. Develop clear and compelling executive narratives, business cases, roadmaps, and success measures that articulate value, risk, dependencies, and outcomes. Partner across product, data, technology, operations, risk, and control teams to align transformation initiatives to enterprise goals. Establish and promote enterprise standards for client, account, and relationship data across the onboarding and servicing ecosystem. Drive adoption of mastered data, governed processes, and strategic platform capabilities to support consistency and control across the client lifecycle. Help shape the long-term strategic roadmap for Enterprise Onboarding and Enterprise Data Master as core enterprise capabilities.
Required Qualifications 15+ years of experience in data strategy, product management, data architecture, business transformation, data management, or a related discipline. Proven success leading complex, cross-enterprise data or process transformations spanning multiple teams, applications, or business functions. Deep knowledge of end-to-end data lineage, data flows, transformations, business rules, system handoffs, and downstream data consumption. Strong product mindset, with the ability to translate strategy into prioritized capabilities, requirements, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes. Exceptional critical thinking, executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services, enterprise onboarding, client data, master data, reference data, or large-scale enterprise transformation. Working knowledge of data architecture, integration, analytics, and modern data technologies. Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments and partnering effectively with product managers, product owners, architects, and engineering teams. Advanced degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline.
What Success Looks Like A clearly defined and executable roadmap for the Single Front Door onboarding model. Stronger governance and consistency across client, account, and relationship data. Reduced fragmentation in onboarding processes and local operating practices. Improved data quality, transparency, and lineage across the end-to-end client lifecycle. Measurable gains in client experience, operational efficiency, risk management, and enterprise scalability.
