Job Description
Primary Function of the Position
We are seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to contribute towards complex mixed signal designs for next-generation surgical robotic systems. The person in this position will work closely with Electrical, Firmware, Software, and Mechanical Engineers and develop designs for upcoming production versions of Intuitive products.
Essential Job Duties
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team to develop requirements and specifications for new designs.
- Implement detailed designs in schematic form and see design through layout.
- Collaborate with Firmware and Software engineering to bring-up designs and test functionality.
- Solicit feedback and implement iterative improvements on designs based on DFM/DFA/DFT, serviceability, reliability, longevity, and performance.
- Develop and execute test protocols and verify designs meet requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with NPI and other engineering functions to transition designs into production.
- Contribute towards system level design decisions.
- Act as a technical lead within the group and mentor more junior members.
