A large enterprise organization in Massachusetts is looking for a Technical Program Manager Lead to drive security and technology initiatives as part of a major cloud-based HR and Payroll transformation. This is a contract opportunity focused on technical program delivery, cloud/SaaS implementations, security architecture, IAM, SSO, MFA, risk and compliance, vendor management, and large-scale enterprise technology programs.

This is a great opportunity for a senior technical program leader who enjoys owning complex initiatives from strategy through implementation. You’ll work across technical, security, business, vendor, and executive teams to keep major workstreams moving, identify risks and dependencies, and make sure technical requirements are translated into successful delivery. The role offers exposure to a large-scale cloud transformation, security and identity initiatives, enterprise integrations, AI security, and the transition from implementation into long-term operations.

Required Skills & Experience

· 9+ years of IT experience with strong technical program/project leadership

· Experience leading large-scale technology implementations or transformation programs

· Strong understanding of cloud/SaaS environments and enterprise technology

· Experience leading security, risk, compliance, or technology workstreams

· Experience managing multiple technical teams, vendors, and implementation partners

· Strong understanding of IAM, SSO, MFA, application security, infrastructure security, and data security

· Experience managing technical requirements, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables

· Experience coordinating testing, implementation, deployment, and go-live activities

· Strong experience creating and maintaining technical program documentation and plans

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and executive stakeholders

· Experience working in complex enterprise environments

Desired Skills & Experience

· Experience with Workday or another enterprise SaaS platform

· Experience with HR and Payroll technology implementations

· Experience with cloud migrations and legacy-to-SaaS transformations

· Experience with security architecture or cybersecurity programs

· Experience with IAM, SSO, MFA, and user provisioning initiatives

· Experience with risk and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO, SOX, or COBIT

· Experience with audit, governance, and regulatory initiatives

· Experience managing system integrators and third-party technology vendors

· Experience with AI or AI security initiatives

· Experience in a large public-sector or highly regulated environment

· Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools

Daily Responsibilities

· Lead complex technical programs from planning through implementation and ongoing operations

· Coordinate technical workstreams across security, infrastructure, applications, data, integrations, and operations

· Partner with technical leadership to define requirements, priorities, milestones, and delivery plans

· Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, action items, and escalation paths

· Coordinate internal teams, system integrators, SaaS vendors, and other third-party partners

· Oversee security requirements and technical controls throughout design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment

· Drive IAM, SSO, MFA, user access, and security-related initiatives

· Coordinate integration, security, UAT, go-live, and operational readiness testing

· Monitor vendor deliverables, SLAs, milestones, and technical commitments

· Ensure technical and security documentation is completed and maintained

· Translate complex technical and security requirements into clear program plans and actionable deliverables

· Communicate program status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders

· Support disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response, and operational readiness initiatives

· Help drive the transition from implementation into long-term production operations
