CLA is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our telecommunications team focused on indirect tax compliance. Our telecommunications team helps companies, from startups to seasoned organizations, build and strategize their communications business in a way that is innovative and compliant. We help clients define clear objectives and identify areas of growth, and our experienced team keeps clients informed on the latest policies affecting communications providers.

How you’ll create opportunities** in this Senior Associate role:**

  • Prepare and review indirect tax compliance returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies across the Unites States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
  • Complete timely filing of indirect tax returns.
  • Review and resolve jurisdictional inquiries and notices.
  • Correspond with clients on indirect tax and compliance inquiries and issues as needed.
  • Oversee a team of associates ensuring that everything is filed timely according to the Monthly Compliance Calendar.
  • Provide oversight and training on sales, use and telecom tax returns.
  • Other related duties as appropriate to support CLA clients.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • 2 years of Telecom Industry experience
  • 2 years of Account Management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and MS Office products is necessary
  • Familiarity with TEM/vendor portals preferred
