About the job

As a Refrigeration Mechanic - 4th Shift here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will play a critical role in supporting our manufacturing operations by ensuring a safe and comfortable working environment through effective refrigeration system management.

You will report directly to our Maintenance Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a 4th Shift (overnight) work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the operational efficiency and safety of our facilities by minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on refrigeration and HVAC equipment to ensure reliable operation.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration systems and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations related to refrigeration systems.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering teams to support production needs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Experience in refrigeration system maintenance and repair, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of refrigeration and HVAC systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints related to refrigeration equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental compliance related to refrigerants and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in refrigeration maintenance and repair.
  • Universal EPA 608 certification
  • Technical certification or diploma in HVAC, refrigeration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in refrigeration mechanics or HVAC maintenance.

  • MN Power Limited Tech License or willing to acquire within 3.5 years
