Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job Function
- Reviews work orders to determine material needed
- Retrieves material and stages for shearing
- Shears material per work order requirements
- Measures material as needed to ensure tolerances are met
- Ensures measuring devices are in good working order
- Packages material as needed for storage or shipment
- Completes and submits all required paperwork
- Completes all required computer/data entry
- Performs preventive maintenance on shear as assigned
- Maintains a clean and neat work area
- Operates a forklift, crane, or other material handling equipment as needeD.
- Assists with loading or unloading trucks
- Assists with any other warehouse duties as assigned
Required Skills
Read and understand English
Basic math skills
Knowledge of how to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
How to read a tape measure
