Our client, a leader in aerospace & defense, is looking to hire a Project Manager. This role is fully onsite in Bohemia, NY.
This is an 18-month W2 contract with benefits!
As a Project Manager, you will support the Supply Chain Lighting Leader with various Lighting Systems projects across all phases of planning, coordination, and execution**.** You will be responsible for creating, optimizing and driving schedules and project plans across cross-functional teams and partners.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring timely delivery of key objectives
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams to address program and project requirements for lighting operations
- Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential risks and ensuring issue resolution to maintain project timelines
- Support supplier engagement activities, including performance monitoring, and relationship management
- Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for stakeholders and senior leadership regarding project status and outcomes
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, with 1+ years of experience in Project Management or related field; in lieu of degree, 4+ years of experience in Project Management or related field
- Experience building and managing schedules in MS Project or similar tools
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Working knowledge and experience of SAP ERP or supply chain and/or procurement tools
- Prior experience in aerospace, defense, federal, government, and/or manufacturing environments strongly preferred!
