Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an experienced CNC Laser and Press Brake Operator/Fabricator to join our Norfolk VA team on 3rd shift. The Press Brake operator will have expertise in sheet metal fabrication and mechanical assembly.
This position will work 3rd Shift - from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am (Sunday through Thursday)
Essential Functions:

Program, set up, and operate CNC press brake and laser equipment.

Proficiently interpret drawings and work packages while maintaining attention to detail and understanding precision tolerances.

Measure precision parts using calibrated instruments.

Fabricate new parts or repair existing ones as needed in manufacturing processes.

Troubleshoot minor programming and mechanical issues as needed.

Operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, drills and machinist hand tools.

Understand and operate conversational milling machines and Acu-Rite digital readouts.

Work with various materials to produce high-quality products that meet drawing specifications.

Plan the sequence of necessary actions to complete a job.

Ability to work 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am – Sunday through Thursday.
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience in CNC Press brake/laser operation in a manufacturing setting.

At least 2 years fabricating, fitting, and assembling precision parts per drawings.

At least 2 years of experience and knowledge of precision sheet metal, encompassing flat layouts, bend deductions,

At least 1 year of experience using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers.

At least 1 year of experience reading blueprints and drawings.

Have a proven track record of reliability, responsibility, safety, and solid organizational skills.

Strong communication and teaming skills.

Proficient in installing threaded inserts and various hardware components into parts.

Excellent attention to detail.

Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $45,000 - $84,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
