Greenhouse & Nursery Associate – 1st Shift

Location: Oberlin, OH Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are hiring dependable Greenhouse & Nursery Associates for a full-time, 1st shift position in Oberlin, OH. This hands-on role involves plant care, order preparation, shipping, and general facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Plant and pot seedlings and plants.
• Fill, label, organize, and move trays and products.
• Prepare and assemble customer orders for shipment.
• Attach hangers to baskets and move products using ladders.
• Transport plants and materials using carts.
• Load and unload trucks and conveyor systems.
• Lift and carry products weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Push and pull carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Assist with irrigation systems and water lines.
• Use basic hand tools, including shovels, shears, and clippers.
• Clean and maintain work areas, buildings, and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous nursery, manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in hot or cold temperatures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work.
