About the job

The Assistant Director will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Housekeeping Operations across Caesars Palace, The Villas at Caesars Palace and Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace. This Assistant Director reports to the Director of Hotel Productivity & Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily hotel housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Manage departmental operations, staff performance, and service standards.
  • Foster teamwork, set clear expectations, and lead by example.
  • Oversee employee relations, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Role models the inspection and quality assurance program(s) by being consistently visible on-the-floors, and visible within in the operations at least 80% of each day.
  • Mentors, coaches, and conducts on the job and classroom training for new team members to the brand standards of Caesars Palace.
  • Review arrivals, departures, and in-house guests to ensure proper handling of VIPs and their preferences and be able to discuss in daily and weekly meetings.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train Team Members.
  • Develop work schedules and maintain staffing levels to meet business needs.
  • Resolve guest and Team Member concerns to ensure high satisfaction.
  • Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and P&L performance.
  • Analyze operational reports and performance metrics to improve efficiency, control costs, and support revenue goals.
  • Partners with the division leadership team on supporting guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible, resolving guest issues and assisting with guest inquires as required ensuring guest issues are resolved within 24 hours.
  • Monitor employee productivity, equipment utilization, and departmental resources.
  • Oversee inventory control and accountability for equipment, supplies, keys, and amenities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, safety standards, and emergency procedures.
  • Identify, report, and follow up on maintenance, safety, and operational issues.
  • Support sustainability and energy conservation initiatives.
  • Develops the resort’s competitive advantage by attracting and acquiring talent that strengthens the resort’s operating performance, service culture, and team member engagement to maximize capability to drive operational excellence.
  • Prepare operational reports, business correspondence, and departmental documentation.
  • Lead departmental meetings and participate in training, committees, and special projects.
  • Maintain a professional, guest-focused presence and uphold service excellence.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of housekeeping operations in a luxury hotel environment is preferred. Knowledge of the following areas is a plus: culinary union contract, front office operations, and the Forbes standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience hiring, training, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Ability to manage budgets, labor costs, inventory, and purchasing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, team building, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must be able to engage and lead a diverse workforce.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Proficient in English verbal and written in a professional manner.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working with platforms such as REQs, HotSOS, Tableau, SQL, LMS and/or Opera.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking and sitting for the duration of the shift, as well as bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and ascending/descending stairs.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle sensitive staff and guest situations in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift furniture (e.g., mattresses, tables, chairs, lamps).
  • Must tolerate required PPE (gloves, safety glasses/goggles, etc.) and safely operate motorized equipment.
  • Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee conflicts.
  • Ability to perform line-level duties during emergencies or operational needs.
  • Presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment Company and encourages others to do the same.
