About the job
Under the direction of the Policy and Communications Deputy, the legislative intern will: • Track legislation relevant to the Treasurer’s Office; • Attend legislative committee meetings, hearings, and floor sessions; • Prepare notes and summaries; • Coordinate meetings with legislators; • Conduct research and draft briefing materials on public finance, financial education, investments, office history, and related policy issues; • Support financial education initiatives; • Attend board and commission meetings; • Support logistical and administrative needs of the office during the legislative session; and • Perform other duties as assigned to advance the mission of the office.
