About the job

How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

At Delta Air Lines, we're redefining how brands connect with customers through premium, high-impact advertising experiences. We’re expanding on the foundation of Delta Sync to unlock new advertising opportunities, and we’re looking for someone to lead Media Operations who can build the operational engine behind Delta’s Media Network—creating the processes, capabilities, and discipline needed to seamlessly translate advertiser commitments into high-quality campaign execution at scale.

The Media Operations Lead will centralize and lead media operations for Delta’s Media Network—translating advertiser objectives into strategic media plans and overseeing end-to-end campaign execution, measurement, and optimization across Delta’s advertising ecosystem. This leader will build the processes, capabilities, and operational rigor needed to ensure campaigns launch accurately, deliver as contracted, perform against advertiser objectives, and scale efficiently across channels and advertising technology platforms.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

• Advertiser Account & Service Leadership: Own the post-sale advertiser experience, serving as the senior executional lead from sales handoff through campaign completion and renewal. Establish strong account management practices, build trusted relationships with advertiser and agency teams, proactively manage expectations and opportunities, and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience that strengthens retention and growth.

• Media Planning & Strategy: Lead the translation of advertiser objectives into strategic, insight-driven media plans across Delta’s advertising ecosystem, recommending the right inventory, audiences, budgets, and flighting to achieve campaign goals. Partner with Ad Sales during the proposal process to shape compelling, executable solutions for advertisers.

• Campaign Operations & Delivery: Own end-to-end campaign activation and delivery, from trafficking and launch through pacing and completion, ensuring campaigns execute accurately and deliver against contracted commitments. Establish rigorous processes across ad serving, order management, inventory management, and trafficking workflows to drive operational excellence at scale.

• Campaign & Creative Management: Oversee the end-to-end coordination of campaigns across advertiser, creative, media, technology, and internal Delta stakeholders, establishing clear timelines, requirements, approvals, and accountability from kickoff through launch. Ensure creative assets meet Delta brand, experience, technical, and policy requirements and are delivered on time across channels.

• Measurement, Insights & Optimization: Own the advertiser-facing measurement and reporting experience, translating campaign performance, attribution, incrementality, and other available measurement into clear, actionable insights. Continuously optimize in-flight campaigns and use learnings to strengthen future media plans, advertiser outcomes, and renewal opportunities.

• Advertiser Growth & Retention: Partner with Ad Sales to identify opportunities to deepen existing advertiser relationships based on campaign performance, emerging needs, and untapped opportunities across Delta’s portfolio. Bring insights from active accounts back to Sales and Ad Products to inform renewals, expansion opportunities, and future offerings.

• Industry Events & Client Engagement: Represent Delta’s Media Network alongside Ad Sales at priority industry events and advertiser engagements, deepening relationships with current clients and agency partners and bringing campaign expertise and performance insights into strategic conversations. Partner with Sales to identify opportunities to expand relationships and strengthen long-term advertiser value.

• Operational Excellence & Scaling: Establish and continuously improve the processes, workflows, service standards, SLAs, and operating practices required to deliver a consistent advertiser experience as the Media Network scales. Identify opportunities to standardize and automate work while maintaining quality and accountability.

• External Partner Management: Lead and hold accountable external agencies, vendors, and operational partners supporting media planning, campaign execution, creative, measurement, and other Media Operations capabilities. Establish clear roles, service levels, quality standards, and governance to ensure partners operate as a seamless extension of Delta’s Media Network.

• Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner closely with Ad Sales, Ad Products, and technology teams to ensure advertiser commitments are executable, operational requirements inform product and technology roadmaps, and new capabilities can be effectively planned, sold, activated, measured, and scaled.

• AI & Operations Enablement: Champion the thoughtful use of AI, automation, and emerging tools across media operations to improve planning, campaign management, reporting, insights, and team productivity. Establish standards for how these capabilities are incorporated into workflows while maintaining accuracy and quality.

• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing Media Operations organization spanning account management, media planning, campaign/project management, campaign operations, creative operations, audience strategy, measurement, and analytics. Establish clear accountability, service standards, and ways of working across internal teams and external partners to deliver an exceptional advertiser experience at scale.
