How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
At Delta Air Lines, we're redefining how brands connect with customers through premium, high-impact advertising experiences. We're expanding on the foundation of Delta Sync to unlock new advertising opportunities, and we're looking for a Senior Manager of Ad Sales Marketing who can bring Delta's Media Network story to life—translating strategy into compelling market-facing narratives, sales tools, and programs that build advertiser demand and help our sales organization win.
The Senior Manager of Ad Sales Marketing will lead the development and execution of key marketing initiatives across sales enablement, brand, communications, and industry presence. This role will translate Delta's differentiated audiences, advertising capabilities, and customer experiences into compelling stories for advertisers and agencies; equip sellers with the materials and messaging needed across the sales cycle; and help ensure Delta's Media Network shows up consistently and credibly in the marketplace. Working closely with Ad Sales, Ad Products, Delta Brand, and Corporate Communications, this leader will turn the broader Ad Sales Marketing strategy into high-quality execution at scale.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
• Sales Enablement & Activation: Develop and execute scalable sales enablement programs that equip sellers with the narratives, insights, tools, and resources needed to effectively engage advertisers and agencies throughout the sales cycle.
• Content & Collateral Development: Lead the development of high-quality, reusable sales and marketing materials—including media kits, pitch decks, case studies, product narratives, audience stories, and other market-facing content—translating Delta’s Media Network value proposition into compelling materials sellers can confidently take to market.
• RFP & Proposal Enablement: Build and manage a scalable approach to advertiser and agency RFP/RFI responses, including standardized templates, approved messaging, reusable content, and response best practices. Partner with Ad Sales and Ad Products on tailored responses for priority opportunities.
• Seller Readiness & Pitch Preparation: Equip sellers to show up confidently and consistently in priority advertiser and agency conversations, providing tailored messaging, insights, proof points, and materials for key pitches and meetings. Ensure the sales team is prepared to effectively position new products, capabilities, and evolving Media Network offerings as they come to market
• Brand & Narrative Execution: Translate the Media Network’s overarching brand, value proposition, and market narrative into consistent execution across sales materials, communications, digital presence, events, and other advertiser-facing touchpoints, in partnership with Delta Brand.
• PR, Communications & Thought Leadership: Lead execution across PR, external communications, thought leadership, and executive visibility, partnering with Delta Corporate Communications to build awareness and establish Delta’s Media Network as a credible, differentiated voice in the advertising marketplace.
• Industry Events & Market Activation: Lead the planning and execution of Delta’s Media Network presence across priority industry events, launches, and other high-visibility market moments, translating broader event strategy into compelling programming, content, experiences, and communications. Partner with Ad Sales to ensure activations support priority advertiser and agency relationships.
• Product Marketing & Launch Support: Partner with Ad Products to translate new and evolving capabilities into clear positioning, messaging, sales materials, and launch readiness, ensuring sellers and the marketplace understand what is new, why it matters, and how it addresses advertiser needs.
• Market & Advertiser Intelligence: Synthesize advertiser feedback, agency perspectives, competitive activity, and broader media trends into actionable insights that strengthen sales narratives, enablement materials, and market-facing programs.
• Marketing Performance & Optimization: Establish practical measures of effectiveness across enablement content, RFP support, events, communications, and other programs; use seller feedback, engagement, and commercial outcomes to continuously improve where the team invests and how it supports Sales.
• AI & Marketing Enablement: Use AI and emerging tools to accelerate content development, market intelligence, RFP responses, and other marketing workflows while establishing standards that ensure outputs meet Delta’s expectations for quality, accuracy, and brand integrity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Ad Sales, Ad Products, Media Operations, Delta Brand, and Corporate Communications to ensure market-facing materials and programs reflect current capabilities, advertiser needs, and commercial priorities.
• Team & Partner Leadership: Lead and develop team members and external partners supporting brand, communications, sales enablement, and related marketing capabilities; establish clear priorities, quality standards, and accountability for execution.
