We are seeking a Global Commodity Manager to join our AppleCare team. In this role, you will manage continuity of supply, warranty redemption, supplier quality claims, repair and testing, reverse logistics, and costs for service product components. You will collaborate cross-functionally to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

As a Global Commodity Manager, you will design and implement solutions that achieve business-critical metrics for the AppleCare supply chain. You will partner closely with planning, purchasing, finance, engineering, and quality teams to ensure full support throughout the service phase of the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure service components’ continuity of supply
  • Supplier Management: Manage supplier performance in service operations through Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and Supplier Performance Index (SPI) processes. Set metric targets and oversee supplier management of repair and screening operations, evaluating capacity and managing demand levels. Partner with commodity leaders in operations to negotiate contractual terms and drive suppliers to enhance their infrastructure.
  • Cost Management: Manage costs for warranty, repairs, and out-of-production replacement parts across all regions and repair channels.
  • Reverse Logistics and Operations: Design repair and replacement supply chains to secure continuity for system-level repairs at the lowest possible cost and highest service level.
  • Warranty Redemption: Ensure internal systems and processes capture the full value of warranty terms with suppliers, driving enhancements to eliminate costs associated with in-warranty support.
  • PRQ: Lead AppleCare Post-Ramp Qualification (PRQ) projects for service component changes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years of experience in supply chain management.
  • Vendor management background, including working with contract manufacturers.
  • Procurement and project management proficiency, including cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of component manufacturing processes.
  • Background in identifying and resolving engineering quality issues.
  • Understanding of contractual terms and negotiation strategies when collaborating with legal teams.
  • Experience presenting technical and business information to cross-functional teams and leading project initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree
